These are great boots...they look awesome and are more comfortable than the Docs I had before. Another great buy from Shoebuy! They take a while to lace up but it is worth it.

Halfway between authenticity and functionality

These are quite the pair of jungle boots -- normally, military jungle boots are on the ugly side and have very impractical treads. These, however, are equipped with general work-boot treads, with the addition of some very impressive metal decoration including hobnail screws. It isn't listed here, or anywhere really, but the Demonia Jungle boot does have a steel toe, steel sole and some steel reinforcement around the sole; however if weight is a concern, thanks to the canvas construction on the majority of the boot, the pair weighs in at a total of just three pounds. Strong ankle reinforcement makes them ergonomic and suitable for work as well.As far as their functionality as jungle boots, they are pretty true to form. The idea behind jungle boots is not to keep water and dampness out -- it's to let the water evaporate out of the boot to keep the feet comfortable in hot, wet conditions over an extended period of time. The canvas definitely does the job well, and the boots also feature small drain-holes near the sole to let water out and air in. As a result, your feet can really breathe and they stay cool.Overall, a definite recommend, and for the price you couldn't get anything better than junky old military surplus.

The boots are very sturdy and provide great ankle support. They also have excellent traction an great grip, so they're good for hiking or whatever. Not so great for tile or hardwood floors because they leave scuff marks. The downside I've noticed is that it takes a long time to lace them up and put them on/take them off, that's easily remedied by having a zipper put on the sides of them. Overall a great set of boots.
