The shoe was designed to go halfway up my shin but the shoe wasn't designed to wrap around an extra thick shin, it would have been better if i could have ordered the shoe not only by my foot size but by my calf size too.

It's a little tight in the calf. They are easy to put on considering you don't have to tie it every time because of the zipper. We got these a half size larger than normal because others said it was a half size smaller than marked, but I wouldn't have had to.
Wears this shoe: Anytime with everything, rarely with shorts.

Better looking shoe than Hot Topic garbage, though HT sells a similar style. I get complements from everyone on these bad boys. They look AWESOME with skinny pants tucked in them, with short skirts and dresses, if you're a guy in shorts or bondage pants, etc. I've worn them so much that they've experienced some fading and wear on the heels...but they are in fact, a year old. I had to return them once because they were too small...do order 1 size up if you are a girl! I'm not sure if that applies for a guy.Overall, the shoe is rad, comfy, and worth what you pay for.
