Product Description (Women's David Tate Valentine)
This high shaft boot is hard to beat. The upper is very soft calfskin and has a full length zipper for easy on and off. The boot shaft is conventional however a stretch gore panel on the back easily accommodates different calf sizes. The rubber outsole is flexible and the leawood stacked heel is durable and fashionable and is 1.75 inches in height. It has a moisture absorbing microfiber lining and a padded insole for comfort.

It was very difficult to zip around both ankles, like a suitcase that is overpacked. Worried the zipper would break or the stitching would rip out. Once zipped up the boot felt fine--not too tight on the leg or ankle. The foot area was just a smidge too narrow--would have become uncomfortable by the end of the day. Nice looking boot but decided to return it for didn't think it would last

i bought the boot so i can wear skirts and leggings . I have a wide foot and calf .I wore the boot all day long at work and didn't have a sore foot at all . I love daivd tate shoes and boots

I was very happy when I received these boots. The leather is nice quality and the width is perfect. I have an E width and am only able to find shoes and boots that fit me on Shoebuy.com. The heel is a perfect height for any occasion. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is the shaft width. I have a wide calf(15 inches) and the measurement for wide calf boot on site said 14-1/2 inches, but it is much wider than that. The shaft sticks out a little bit. They are wide enough to tuck jeans into, at least, but the shaft is wider than I would like. I am still deciding whether or not to keep them.

I LOVE these boots. My right leg is larger then my left and these are the ONLY boots I can wear. With the elastic in the back both fit perfectly.

The Tate boot I bought is very good quality. Shoebuy is the only placed that I am aware of that carry wide calf dress boots. The shoe portion of the boot is a little larger width for me, but I normally wear heavy sox anyway inside the boot and that is enough to make the boot feel more narrow and comfortable. Good height heel. Good for any occasion sport or dressy.
