They overdid it April 10, 2013 Reviewer: Hard to Fit from San Diego Shoe Size: Felt full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width OK. I have really wide feet, so I ordered this boot in a WW. I have a gripe in general that just because we need wide widht boots, for some reason boot makers can only seem to deliver them with an accompanying wide shaft. So I was delighted to find these online, the other reviews seemed promising and they had my width!!When I pulled these boots out of the box, unpacked all the paper, and took a good look at them, they were totally huge all over, with that crazy outward angling that all wide width boots seem to have. They looked so comically oversized in the calf, they really looked "special" and "orthopedic." When I tried them on, the width was so incredibly perfect (so rare for me) that I was almost able to overlook that the shoe part was altogether too big in the heel (why?? my heels aren't wide), the shaft was incredibly big (I need wide in the toe, not plus size) and they looked like I was wearing buckets. I walked in them as if they were galoshes. Seriously. I wear a size 9 shoe and 10-12 in pants so I'm not particularly dainty, but I'm not huge either. I keep reading that my measurements are the average American woman's...and yet I can't seem to spend my good money on boots. These boots were totally ridiculous. Wears this shoe: didnt. had to return it the same day.

Back to square one July 23, 2012 Reviewer: em787 from Chicago, IL Shoe Size: Felt full size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I have a 17 inch calf, so finding boots is a nightmare. This is sad for me because boots are so great to have for a snowy day and a cute outfit! I was ecstatic when I found these boots, and quickly ordered them. I received them today, and expected them to fit just fine; the descriptions online say they fit all the way up to a 19 inch calf! Well, I couldn't zip the boot past the middle of my calf. I tried what the insert said (push the boot down, and pull zipper up) I also tried to pull the elastic tight so the zipper opening would close a bit. But there was no way! Besides the "16-19 inch calf circumference" problem, the ankle is also ridiculously slouchy and ugly, as if we're supposed to have giant kankles along with our wide calves. I also had a whole size more in the foot area. So this boot is a huge let down :( Big in the foot and ankle, way too tiny in the calf. I will NEVER find the right boot.

Finally the perfect knee boot for me! February 15, 2012 Reviewer: merry feet from Los Angeles, Ca Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have been on a search forever. I finally found a knee boot that fits me properly. I have wide'ish calves, but normal ankles. So every "wide" calf boot I would try the ankles were way too big. Also, here's something that too many reviewers leave out - their own measurements! Without socks or pants, my calf is 15.5 and ankle is 8. Now, there are quite a few boots that 'say' the calf circumference is '16' and that sounds like it should be good enough, but I think they are talking about how much it "can stretch to". Well, if you're calves are like mine, they are a bit fleshy, so if the boot is even a smidge too tight, it gives me a "muffin top" below my knee. Or, they don't even zip all the way up at all! Well, these boots are fantastic! I can wear them with jeans and still have a little room at the top (so they're not squeezing the life out of my calves and cutting off circulation). And the ankle part is just big enough that it doesn't wobble too much when I'm not wearing jeans tucked in (with jeans they fit fine). I purchased a size 7W. Also, my foot isn't "considered" wide, I just like a little breathing room so my foot doesn't feel cramped. I'm 3.5 inches at the widest/ball point of my foot. Here are the measurements from the boot I have. The ball is 3.75, the ankle is approx. 10.5-11 in. (that part was hard to really get a good measurement on. And the calf is a true 16 (without being stretched). I realize that was long winded, but hopefully that helps someone out there! Wears this shoe: anytime I want to look cute, go out, and be comfortable!

Yo Ho Ho! November 08, 2011 Reviewer: Di from The Jersey Shore Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I needed a pair of boots for Pirates Day at school, but have a wide width and various foot problems that don't allow me to wear heels any more (sigh...) It is unusual to find anything stylish that fits my feet. I decided to try this boot on a lark. I am glad I did. It fits well and did not need a breaking in period. I can't remember the last time I said that. It is stylish enough to wear with skirts and looked fine worn over slim pants. I did not expect to be so pleased. I anticipate wearing these often. I would give them 5 stars if they were made in the US, but at least they seem to be well made. Wears this shoe: For work and casual outings.

Calf width not true to size with these boots October 10, 2011 Reviewer: Lisa from Davison, MI Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width Description of boot said that calf width is 17", I have a 16" calf, and is very tight on me with no clothes on, is able to stretch a little at the top with a little muscle... Not true to size as far as that goes. Plenty wide in the foot, almost too wide at the ankle, slouches out. Wears this shoe: Havent worn them yet, but will be wearing them with my denim leggings.
