I started buying the Darn Tough socks because of the lifetime warranty, but I keep buying them because they're so comfortable. I wear them year-round, and eventually they will be the only brand of sock I own.

Difference between walking and a wheelchair for me. I have foot nueropathy, pain & numbness at the same time, from Agent Orange. My socks need to protect my feet, keep them dry, cushion them from my shoes, not bunch, or I can't walk 10 feet. I wear these year round, 24hrs/day, change them often, machine wash, air dry - look new a year later. Mephisto used to make a similar sock, wonderful, but they quit. Now these are the best in the world, as only American's want to make them. So pay the price, give your neighbors a job and keep your feet.

These socks aren't very good. They are supposed to be padded but they aren't, and they don't look like the picture. I advise you to avoid these socks. I've had better socks from the five and dime.

I bought a pair last year and ordered another pair for me and one as a gift. I ordered the boot sock this year. The boot sock is as satisfactory as the regular pair last year. I have nothing but praise for these socks!
