I am a NH police officer. I have had many Danner boots and typically like their product. However, these boots are the most uncomfortable boot I have ever worn. I tried for about 2 weeks to wear them in but it got to the point I could not walk, let alone run in them.

This is a beautiful boot! I wear a wide 11 and always have. The EE was just too tight. I felt that possibly with a lengthy break-in period it would be fine, but swapped it for an 11 1/2 EE. This feels perfect. I will also allow for a heavier sock in cooler weather. I would strongly suggest that if you have a wide foot, possibly wider than the EE that you go a half size larger. It was an absolutely seamless swap. The customer service couldn't have been nicer or made things easier.

This is a beautiful boot that appears to be very well made. I can't comment on the life of the sole as these were new. I have boots that are 3E width and feel very loose and comfortable width wise. These are 2E and felt quite tight and confining. I wore them for a half hour and then again the next day and the next. Each time they felt looser and better fitting. They continued to be tight in the width and while with enough time I feel they would break in to be comfortable, I'm opting to move from the 11 to 11 1/2 to see if that won't help with the width problem. They were also difficult to get on and off which may also be due to the width problem.

I bought a pair of these about a year and a half ago and the soles are toast. I am a full time paramedic and only wear them on duty. Overall they are great boots but expect the boot to outlive the soles by 5-10 years.

Went on a short walk in the new boots and found them rather confining. The higher boot is a bit uncomfortable, but could work out. The foot part of the boot is excellent. Love the fit.
