Great for spring and fall farming-- for moderate climates. My only complaint is that it is a little too hot for the summer and doesn't keep my feet warm enough in the winter. In 50 to 85 degree weather I'm comfortable. I do notice the boot feeling pretty damp after 10 hours in them, even with Smartwool socks. It gives good ankle support though, and no rubbing. They have held up very well for these first 2 years. I pretty much live in them when the temperature is right.

I had heard good things about the Danner boot. Not many stores carry a women's work boot and if so their is never enough inventory. I had found a store that carried the boot and tried a size 8. I am a true size 8 and wear that size in all other work boots. However, the Danner boot did run a 1/2 size large. The store I was shopping in did not have any 71/2 and I was very pleased that Shoebuy carried it and offered free shipping each way in case the boot did not fit. It has an 8 inch shaft and I usually wear a 6 inch boot so that has taken a bit to get used to. All in all it is a nice ladies work boot that I recommend.

I needed a good all around, not too fancy, but nice enough to wear about boot for snow and slush. I also wanted it to work for hiking. It is very sturdy and looks good, too. Has helped me a lot with getting around in the snow.
