Danner Striker Torrent Side-Zip GTX 8"
Another well made boot from Danner
March 16, 2013
Reviewer: Crooked Mile from Atlanta GA
I already owned several pairs of Danner boots and decided to try the black GTX with side zipper. I wear a medium but these Danner's were a bit too snug. I was afraid there wouldn't be enough stretch and didn't want to risk it with boots this expensive. I returned them and had Shoebuy replace them with a wide pair. These fit much better and I'm expecting them to last a long time. The quality of the materials is first rate as is the craftsmanship. It's evident when looking them over or wearing them. I've only been wearing them off and on for a few weeks and will report back if any problems crop up. I also wear Danner TFX Hot boots and a couple different Wolverine styles so I don't usually wear the same boots on consecutive days. I was surprised to need a wide in this boot so you might want to try and find a pair locally and try them on before ordering. Shoebuy was great in handling the return and replacement but even when the process goes smoothly, it's still a hassle.

Danner Danner 453 GTX 5.5" ST
Don't fit well
March 13, 2013
Reviewer: CSN from GreenBay, WI
Don't like them at all, too narrow. I have a pair of Danner 1200 gram hunting boots and LOVE them. Fit perfect, warm, comfortable so I bought these, same size and width and they're too narrow and not comfortable at all. Very regrettable purchase.

Not Happy

I have bought Danners for years now and this is the first pair that I do not like. Instead of the 4.5 inch its now 6", almost a full boot and very uncomfortable.

Danner Light II
Still Breaking In
February 25, 2013
Reviewer: Dr. Phil from Chicago, IL.
I bought this hiking boot because it was "made in the USA." One of the reviewers mentioned that the boot is a little tight, with a need to break them in. I agree; it is a little tight, but I have begun getting a better fit. I wear it now when I walk the dog to break them in. In a few weeks, I will be using them for my main purpose - hiking. I will have a better idea how they fit and hold up after hiking in a couple of national parks.

Danner Workman 8" GTX® PT
Awesome Boots.
February 18, 2013
Reviewer: Randall from Georgetown, Tx.
This is my 3rd pair of these boots. Previous 2 pairs lasted about 6 1/2 years each. I wore these to work 95% of the time. I never had any foot or knee issues. I worked 12hr shifts in a semiconductor factory, routinely walking 6 to 12 miles a day. I recommend these boots to anyone complaining of foot or knee pain.
Wears this shoe: Work 95 of time and 50 of time off work.
