I got these boots before leaving for some very intense training. I rucked 5 miles with 80 pounds of gear in them initially to break them in, that's all it took. Wear these with some smartwool medium hiking socks and your feet will love you! Ordering another pair.

I saw that a friend of mine had a pair and I liked them, after inquiring about his boots and his overall happiness with them I decided to purchase a set for myself. My primary use will be for hunting in a dry mountainous environment. Second set fit perfectly with very minimal break in required. Wore them 8 hours first day and had no hot spots let alone a blister. I have owned Danner products in the past and these are just as good as I remember if not better.

Normally wear a 12D in almost everything. Got a 12D and it was a bit too long, but felt fine for width. Returned it and got a 11.5D. That turned out to be a good length, but was tight, width-wise. So returned it and got the 11.5EE. So, great feeling boot, so far.
