I've been pretty much a Wolverine boot wearer since trying them 15 years ago. I have four pair and one pair of Converse duty boots that wear well and decided to try out Danner. So far these boots feel great and definitely have a quality that is apparent when inspecting the materials and craftsmanship. Since there's no side zipper, one thing they really need are speed laces. The aglets really take a beating as they aren't designed to become a daily part of the on/off process. That's my only complaint so far which isn't much of a complaint.

I am 76 years old and I have hiked all my life, mostly in Arizona and southern Utah. Wearing size 15D has made it hard to find good boots. I have heard about Danner boots; this is my first pair. They are fabulous. My old feet want to get up and go. They are wonderful. I'll be wearing them for my rim to rim hike in the Grand Canyon in April.

Boots felt comfortable right out of the box, and broke in with no blisters within wearing them for 45 minutes. Wears like a pair of high top sneakers. Excellent quality boots. Durable and strong. I wear them at least twice a week hiking in the woods, and the support on both the ankles and feet are terrific. This is my first pair of Danner boots, and I cannot think of wearing any other brands, and this coming from an Army Infantry vet with issued jungle boots back in the late 80's. In fact, these boots remind me of those but much more comfortable. The speed laces are fantastic, and work like a charm, something else I wish I had when I served. Would definitely recommend these boots for anyone, and I will be saving some money to purchase another high end pair soon.

Right out of the box, a perfect fit. True to size and width for me. The most comfortable boot I have ever owned. Great tan color. Breathable, and wears like my sneakers. Already broken in after one day, and a 45 minute hike through the woods. No blisters. Speed laces are awesome. Very well made boot. Soles are thick and provide great traction. I am glad I spent the extra money on this boot instead of going "cheap" with a competitors brand.
