These are the best boots I've ever owned, I had a pair 10 years ago I wore them for five years and was going to get them resoled when I found out my wife threw them out. So I purchased another pair of quality boots so I thought red wings wore out in a year, then another pair with the same result, so I finally broke down and bought another pair of Acadia's well worth the price these are my third pair I've owned, there must be a reason these have been around for over twenty years there great very comfortable dry warm in winter and cool in summer I love them.

These boots did not impress me at all. One thing I noticed was how the shoe lace holes are placed so close to almost to the tip of the boot. It's like 3 inches close to the tip of the boot. It fit alright... color is great. Not that real vivid black I was hoping for... these boots are okay. They can just be a pain to take off. But the comfort of it is pretty good. Mostly because of the looks. So if you plan to buy these to wear just to go out for the style or fashion... I don't really recommend it. But for work is better... it wasn't what I expected.

Am on my second pair. My first pair SQUEEKED when walking on any surface. This second pair is GREAT! Very comfortable, though they are taking a while to break in (my other Danner's I've owned seem like they have taken a full month or so to break in as well, so this time is no surprise). So far, so good!!

Danner Acadias- steel toe variety. To sum it up shortly, I love these boots! I had already owned 2 pairs of Danners; the Striker II 8" LEO style boots and the 453 hiking boots. I wanted a nice pair of steel toes for durability and extra protection. I heard nothing but positive things about the Acadias so I bought them. After wearing them casually for several weeks, I can safely say that I am more than happy with these boots. They look freakin' awesome, very durable, nice and comfy on hot summer days and they're made in USA. I've worn them out and about with friends, working around the house on the weekends, and to the range for several hours of target shooting. No discomfort or problems at all! The only thing I would change about this boot is maybe a slightly thicker tongue like on the Striker II's. No biggie. Just means I have to tighten them a little more than the Strikers. Oh, and I wish they were a tad wider for standard sizes. They've broken in a bit now and are fine but were a little snug at first. When it's time for a new pair, I'll probably order the wide 10.5s. But if you're in the market for a simple, quality made and cool lookin' pair of boots, I highly recommend the Acadias. (Although they are made overseas, I highly recommend the Striker II's as well.) Danner sure knows how to make a nice boot. Buy yours now! over and out
