Great support! I first got this exact shoe in 2004 and found it to be so comfortable and practical that I wore it on a trip to Israel where I hiked up and down the Mt. of Olives, through Jerusalem, Jericho, the Wilderness gravel paths, around Galilee...it has good grip on uneven ground. I kept wearing it for those tougher walking situations (I don't like wearing running/tennis shoes) and finally wore out the interior footbed lining. It also stretched out a bit over time and the suede got dirty and difficult to clean after much wear. So I just bought my second pair.

I can walk up and down hills all day in these shoes and not have aching feet at the end of the day. Open toed shoe, but my narrow foot does not slip through or have to tire my toes by gripping to stay in. They are stylish.
