I have a foot condition known as plantar facitis. These shoes are the most comfortable sandal-type shoe that I have ever worn. All you have to do is slip it on and go. Very convenient.

I ordered these for my husband. He has very wide feet so we have trouble finding shoes. He had been wearing boat shoes all the time, which was really hard on his back and his feet. once he got his first pair of Islanders he never wore his old boat shoes again.

Like most crocs, these are remarkably comfortable. I like the ample ventilation courtesy of the typical crocs 'holes' across the top and side of the shoe. They fit a bit sloppy, having a lot of depth, but adding an insole or orthotic firms up the fit.
