The insert is warm and comfortable. The shoe without the insert seemed a little big, but I plan to use with the insert as indoor slippers. Even without socks, toes warm up quickly.

If you don't want to hear yourself walking don't buy this shoe. It squicks at every step and everyone else can hear you too. The shoe is comfortalbe but the annoying squick is what bothers me.

As anticipated, these crocs run a bit smaller due to the lining. If your summer crocs worn barefoot are a perfect fit, it would be best to order the next size up.
