Product Description (Men's Converse Work Stealth Swat 9" Sport Boot)
The Stealth Swat 9" Sport Boot is an assault boot with a removable dual density polyurethane cushion insert, a side zipper and a shock eliminator heel plug.
The duel density outsole features an EVA cushion midsole and a Mountain Trail rubber bottom.
A composite toe securely protects the foot while remaining light weight and will not conduct heat, cold, or electricity. Composit toe meets or exceeds te ASTM F2413-05 standard for protective footwear.
The shoe is 100% non-metallic and airport friendly.

My work environment includes grated floors, water, acid, and other harsh chemicals. These boots are not water proof, but they do a very good job keeping water out. My boots usually wear a hole behind my heal in the liner of the boot, these have a leather patch in that area. I've owned side zip boots before and the zippers usually wear out before the boot does, but the zippers in these boots are extremly heavy duty. I usually have to replace my boots every 2 to 3 months. I think these converse boots should last me at least 6.

This is my 3rd pair. I work in a very harsh environment that eats boots. Good hiking boot, good motorcycle boot.
