Product Description (Men's Converse Work Converse Sport Hiker)
The Converse Sport Hiker features a water resistant leather upper and a removable EVA cushion insert, a sponge rubber heel and a StarGuard waterproof membrane.
The duel density outsole features an EVA cushion midsole and a rubber outdoor traction bottom with an external arch stabilizer.
A composite toe securely protects the foot while remaining light weight and will not conduct heat, cold, or electricity. Composit toe meets or exceeds te ASTM F2413-05 standard for protective footwear. The Sport Hiker features an upper made from water resisting leather and a waterproof membrane lining.
The shoe is 100% non-metallic and airport friendly.
Fit:
This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

I bought the shoe as safety issue at work and they are very comfortable and feel like a sneaker. The toes are very well protected and we need this for our line of work. Our shoes go into everything imaginable hope they last.

there is nothing that I dislike about these shoes, they are very comfortable and light weight. They are easy to walk in and slip proof.

Just got these today and Wow are they comfortable. Soft yet supportive leather uppers. Nice cushioned heel and lighter than the steel toed boots they're replacing. The sole of the shoe appears to be appropriate for my surroundings at work. I work for an airline and need something that will hold up around an array of aircraft chemicals. I disagree with the fit description of the shoes running large. I'm an 11.5W and if I were to have ordered an 11W they would have been too small. The only shoes that I've had this comfortable right out of the box were a pair of Rocky Boots that I mentioned previously in this post. The only reason I chose these over the Rocky's is they don't make them anymore. It makes me want to order a couple of extra pairs of these so I don't get in that dilemma again. All in all the experience was flawless and the product wonderful.

These hikers are the BEST!!! No break-in period, no blisters, totally waterproof, totally supportive. I love them! I am a woman with a wide foot, so the men's regular size 7 fits wonderfully. I hike three mornings a week out back with the dog in farmland that is uneven, covered with dew, kind of mushy, and not necessarily always dry enough, and these hikers are so sturdy, dry, and warm. I won't ever buy any other boot. These (and other pairs that I will purchase) will be my summer, winter, fall, and spring hikers. Thanks for such a great shoe and for the great price!
