Color not as expected, but love anyway!

I wanted a nice looking, slip on shoe to wear on several upcoming trips (easy on/off at airport security), and this one fit the bill. Plus I snagged it on a day when it was an extra $30 off! Fits great and feels comfy right out of the box. Good arch support and will do well for walking and touring. However, I ordered it in Brown, which appeared in the photos to be a nice chocolate color. What I received was marked Brown on the box, but the actual shoe appeared much lighter and the toe area was a shade darker than the rest of the shoe. However, I liked the fit, feel and price so much that I 'fixed' the color with a good application of dark brown shoe polish.

I normally wear a size 5-5 1/2 and orderd a size 5 1/2 based on reviews; they were too big overall. The size 5 is slightly too tight for me in the front of the shoe, but they will stretch.

These are very comfortable shoes! I have had bunion surgery and have difficulty finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive and look nice. The toe area is plenty roomy. I should have heard the advice already given- order a half size smaller. I had to return my normal size and reorder.
Wears this shoe: Work-school teacher on my feet most of the day.

For a Clark's shoe something must have gone wrong. The leather is very hard. I am an exact size 8.5, but the top edge digs into my ankle and I've had to try to stretch different spots to help them fit properly. I originally bought these shoes for travelling and site seeing...that won't be happening.
