I was looking for a pair of dark brown short boots, and was hopeful these would work since I am a fan of Clarks shoes. I have only tried these indoors so far but am pleased with the purchase. They have decent padding and the width is just right for me. The heel is a little more narrow than I expected but I imagine it should provide decent support. The suede criss-cross design on the side is a nice detail.

I love these boots, but I have only had them for about a month and the base where the heel connects to the shoe is separating- a little dissappointed in that, as I have never had a problem with any Clarks shoes in the past.

I have always been happy with the comfort-level of Clarks shoes, and this was definitely the case with these ankle boots. Very comfy, and simple but stylish. I've bought ankle boots that tended to chafe around the lower calf where the top of the boot rubbed, but these don't do that.
