This has a smooth insole (no stitching to run the bottom of foot). The heel strap keeps it on. There are no spots that rub.

The Velcro strips on the strap over the arch are too short and do not not overlap as they should. I took them to a shoe repair and had it fixed. Otherwise the sandals are very comfortable. These are a good replacement for the superior, but now discontinued Clark's Wilderness II sandals.

I have never worn a sandal but recently purchased this pair for an upcoming vacation. They felt as good out of the box as they do after 10 days of hard use. The fit is great. I will definitely buy more if needed.
