I am a big fan of Clark's and I was looking for a replacement for Clark's Senator, a slip-on that has been discontinued. The Escalade is a great choice. It is a light shoe with a good sole and a funky, asymmetrical upper design. I usually wear 9 1/2, but always buy Clark's loafers in 9. The Escalade fits me perfectly. The first day I got them, I walked a mile to work, and a mile back. Absolutely comfortable and no break-in needed. I like the lightness. They are similar to the Clark's Code, but that slip-on has a little more clunky, squarish design.
Wears this shoe: Work, weekends, everyday.

I ordered these shoes for my husband who is not only picky about shoes but also is reluctant to buy shoes online.He LOVED them!They are not only stylish and sleek they are comfortable!He is on his feet alot traveling and such and they are the best shoe we've found for him in a long time.I originally bought the brown ones only but he liked them so much I ordered the black also.He wears them with a suit while working and with jeans on casual days.

Actually I did purchase an almost similar design of shoes the last two years. Unfortunately, recently the sewing portion tore off, so I think the quality or durability of this shoes a bit questionable. Furthermore I very seldom wear this shoes.

I purchased this shoe about 20 months ago and love it. I wear this shoe every where. At work, at parties, at malls, walking to a friend's house and more...It is extra comfortable and has taken a heavy beating and has lasted! I rip up my shoes and this one keeps lasting!It is a well balanced shoe... that is I am currently wearing out the sole before the leather on top... I will buy this shoe again in the next 10 days.And I recommend it to every body, buy it it's the best!I am located in NYC and we walk everywhere here!Over the Brooklyn and 59 st. bridges etc.Good luck with this great shoe... I am a great fan.
