I ordered a pair of these in the dark brown leather. The brown leather is beautiful and and the shoes look really smart with dark denim. I found that they run a little big, however. I normally wear a 14, and I found their 14 to be too big. (I've read elsewhere that this has to do with discrepancies between American and British sizing.) They were definitely longer in the sole than other size 14 shoes that I own. But I have exchanged them for a smaller size, and I look forward to their arrival.

I was interested in the Bushacre 2 because of the man made rubber sole, as I'm not a fan of the durability of the natural crepe sole on the original desert boot. It also didn't hurt that that Bushacres were about $30 cheaper than the originals. However, even through the style, look, and fit are the same as the more expensive originals model, the leather was hard as a rock in that cheap, plastic way of imitation leather shoes. Just by trying the shoes on, evident crease marks and bubbling could be see in the leather and the shoes were super stiff. This is a much cheaper leather than on the Clark's Originals although I think the man made sole would have been better, although not as comfortable as the springy crepe rubber.

Size 12 always fits me except in this instance--there is way too much room in the heel, my heel slides up and down inside the shoe even when tightly tied.

This is my first purchase of these type of footwear, and am very pleased!More comfortable that I imagined. I lucked out having narrow feet, so they actually fit quite well! Just be warned to expect quite a fitted fit.They are doing well in the light winter weather we've been having here in Boston.
Wears this shoe: Social gatherings. Light snow/rain.

I had already purchased a pair these boots, so I was not surprised when my black boots arrived how really comfortable they are. They also look good. I wear these everywhere, and often over the weekend and after work casual. I love 'em.
