No need to break in

I've always been leery of buying shoes online - with some displaced heel bones, I generally have to go through dozens upon dozens of shoes before I find one that fits comfortably.I tried on a pair of Clarks Beals in a different color at DSW for about a half second before having to leave, but after searching all around in brick & mortar stores and not finding anything else that was comfortable, I decided to take a chance and order them online.Imagine my surprise when they fit perfectly right out of the box! The heel is surprisingly soft, it does not have that hard "core" that most shoes have. They do run every so slightly narrow, but on my medium-to-slightly-wide foot, they are just snug.I work in a stockroom and am on my feet for most of the day - I have been wearing these to work every day since I received them, and they continue to be comfortable. I did not have any issues with blisters or needing to break them in. I'm very pleased!The only two negatives I have are minor:-as someone used to wearing tennis shoes, they are a bit heavy, and tend to "clomp" if I'm not paying attention to how I walk-the laces that come with them are the leather strip variety, they would not stay tied for me. I replaced them with a rope lace and it works much better.
