Chaco Z/1 Vibram Yampa

Offers great arch support for which I was looking. It's good for hiking as well as for general casual wear. I live in Arizona so I'm able to wear it year round. Because of the close arch fit, water wear can be problematic with sand getting caught between the feet and the sandal. But for water rafting, hiking, all around outside wear they're great. I've done a couple of 4 day 80 mile walks in them and they do better than the big buck walking shoes. No blisters or sore spots on my feet, and my arches did fine, too.

These are so comfortable, supportive, durable, and great in any weather. I love the arch support and wide width. I love the straps and can wear them with skirts and dresses. If I could only have one pair of shoes, these would be it.
Wears this shoe: I wear these to work, beach, walking, camping, etc. Very versatile!

Chaco ZX/2 Unaweep2
PERFECT!!!

These Chacos are the best shoes I've ever owned. In most brands I have to buy a larger shoe than I actually need just to get the width, but these (in wide width) are very wide. The adjustable straps make it possible to accommodate the height of my foot, too. The side straps hold the foot just below the base of the little toe, so they don't rub the little toe at all, which is perfect for someone with corns or calluses. These sandals are a little heavy, which isn't bothersome; it just makes the sturdy. Get the unaweep if you want ultra sturdy sandals, or the yampa if you want something just a bit lighter. Finally, these are probably best for average or wide width feet. They may be a bit too clunky on narrow feet. For those of us with wide feet, we won't find anything better sandal than these!
Wears this shoe: All the time, hiking, around town.
