I have been using this style boot for over 6 years now. They have been put to the test hunting, hiking, at work (utilities company) and helping on the ranch. They stand up well to rough use and provide reliable traction for about 5 years. I purchased a second pair only because my employer pays for them. The only thing I dislike about the boots is the need for new laces every couple years and extra arch support if you have very high arches.
