I really like these boots, they seem to open up nice and wide when the laces are loosened. Comfortable and not too heavy for a steel toe shoe.

I bought my very first pair of Caterpillar boots in 1996, while shopping at Penny's with my daughter Carrie. Carrie actually talked me into trying a pair of these work boots on, since she had been a long time fan of Caterpillar footwear. I was impressed with the immediate comfort, and also the full support when I walked. I felt that these boots had been custom made for me...Almost 12 years have passed and I can tell you that I put these boots to more tests than a research engine! I wore them to work at the winery daily, getting them wet, covered at times with grape juice or wine, and even in the vineyards where I exposed them to mud, rain, and snow conditions. I even wore the boots during the early hunting season for turkeys, and just because they provided so much support and comfort when walking long distances....They NEVER let me down! I kept them pretty well oiled up with mink oil throughout the years of abuse, and finally decided it was time to buy another pair of Caterpillar boots. Same model...same remarkable quality. These boots are pretty well the best in the market if you're looking for comfort, high quality, and longevity. I would buy these boots at twice the price!
