Cass luxury shapewear is best known for its groundbreaking collection of plush "shaping tops, bottoms and dresses". It sounds technical, however this collection is far from technical yet more modern and fashion forward that many loyal fans are wearing CASS as outer clothing all by itself. From a style standpoint, they're at once hip, cool and chic; clients include celebrities (they're a favorite of Oscars' stylists), Fortune 500 executives and socialites. Cass and Co. was founded in September 2004 by designer Susan Ledyard, a diehard fashion-follower who found herself - months after giving birth to two 10-pound-plus infants - with plenty of well-deserved body bulges. Inspired by her years in dance and a family background in design, Ledyard decided to create the first collection of shapewear that smoothes every bulge, lump and bra line; feels ultra-soft to the skin; and is comfortable enough to wear both during and after pregnancy. She also wanted her designs to adapt to her busy lifestyle- i.e., to be travel-ready, quick to dry, and multiuse. Ledyard began by creating the unique, cutting-edge fabric and design "Invisupport" - invisible support that is carried throughout the collection; she ordered more than 100 technical tests before achieving the dancewear-style fit, shaping properties and softness she desired. Then, as chief designer and lover of sophisticated clothing, she created collections that are at once chic, hip, cool and sexy.
