These are solid, very well made work boots, extremely comfortabe, I call them "Armored Personnel Carriers". These boots will protect your feet and ankles. I'm 55 years old, the 10 regulars I use to wear got big, I think the feet are shrinking, ordered the 9.5ee and they fit like they were made for me. There is no slop in the boot, the padded insides lock your foot right in. I got the non-protective toe, I plan on using them for hunting and in the boat.

I work in a concrete plant and used to have to buy work boots 3 times a year. With these boots I only need to buy one pair a year. They are very durable and very comfortable.

I have worn nothing but these Carolina work shoes (8049)for over 30 years. These shoes are more comfortable than my tennis shoes. I am a farmer and these shoes stand up well to the weather conditions I abuse them with. The only other work shoe I will wear are the 7049 insulated version of the same shoe. Thank You Carolina for making such a tough comfy shoe. I ordered 2 pairs of each style to insure that I will be able to wear these shoes for many more years.
