Vibram brand wedge sole, with a stitched welt (so you canresole it economically). Excellent fit in the footbed,as it can be bought in specific widths. I consider it a good value, and am astonished that it is made in the USA. The things that I don't like about it are that the tongueis narrower than it should be, the eyelets cannot berotated, so your laces will wear though them and then thebrass on the eyelet will cut the laces, and thereshould be one more pair of eyelets and one more pair of lace posts, to distribute the pressure of the lace onthe tongue better.
