The boots felt good right out of the box and did not require any "break in" to be comfortable. I use them for climbing and they feel great and seem very durable. The quality level is consistent with much more expensive boots.The boots do tend to run large. I usually wear a size 11 but I needed a size 10.

I have owned my pair of these boots for 7-8 years and I wear them often. They were comfortable on my foot from the first time I laced them up. They have worn well and stood up to wet weather and hot dry days without ever complaining. I have replaced the laces once, which were a little hard to find the correct length. If you climb poles or not these boots will wear well and be comfortable on your feet for many years.

I use these boots mainly for riding motorcycles. They are very beautiful and the leather is very good quality. Be careful to choose the right size width because mine are a little narrow.
