Steel toe meets or exceeds the compression and impact testing rating of 1-75 and will absorb up to 75 lbs. of impact. Features Poron® Permafresh shock absorbing cushioned insoles with anti-bacterial protection. DRYZ® technology, an innovative insole system that absorbs moisture and converts it into a dry gel within the insole of the shoe. As a result, the insole absorbs the moisture from perspiration throughout the day, yet remains dry to the touch.

Great Boot- I needed to break mine in September 15, 2012

This is the first pair of carolina boots I have purchased. I have been a loyal redwing customer but I do not like the color they now offer in the lineman boot. I gave Carolina a try since they are Union made in the USA. The boots look good and the quality seems right up there. I have had the boots now for 2 or 3 weeks. They feel light to wear and are comfortable to walk in. My only complaint is they rubbed on the inside of my heel and it took a long time to break in, 5 days is a long time for me. I don't know if maybe I was a half size off and that's why they took a break in period or if this is common for this boot. With that said I would buy these boots again and the quality is top notch.
