The shoes are very stiff when they first come but adapt fast to the size and shape of your foot. I have found in my experience they do not stain and it is easy to remove anything that may touch the boot. The boots are soft, smooth, and comfortable.

Where did the yellow stitching go? I recently bought a pair of Oxblood doc Martin boots of the classic make. This was a replacement pair for the same shoes that I have worn for the past eight years. To my surprise and dismay when I opened the package I saw that the seam between the leather and rubber was no longer stitched with the signature Doc Martin yellow thread. What happened? Doc Martin for me has always been defined by the simple design, stiff leather, bouncing souls, and the YELLOW STITCHING! Please bring this back!

These are good boots; just needs to be broken in. The 2nd time I wore them, I ended up with sores on both calves and ankles from the rubbing of the boots. I've since worn longer socks to protect my skin, along with using padding on the vulnerable areas. I'm sure once they are broken in, they'll be great. Have to be - I've got narrow feet, and don't have much to choose from out there!

Worst pair of Dr. Martens I've ever own. Leather is extremely cheap. Cracked and split open within a couple months.
