I think this boot will be functional for the few times a year that it rains in the desert (no chance to check that out yet), and it's very cute and quite comfortable. The tongue has a somewhat odd configuration making it challenging to lace up symmetrically but the lacing system is quick and easy. Between the style "Spring Step Sweden" and the brand touting its European design, I felt a little misled - the box says the boots are made in China.
