Product Description
Heel and Forefoot Hydroflow® provide the best cushioning system in footwear. It absorbs shock, stabilizes the foot and returns energy back to the foot, stride after stride. Exclusive full-length S-257™ midsole decreases break by 15% while providing excellent energy return and cushioning on every stride.
Soft, supple full grain leather upper comfortably wraps and supports the foot. HPR PLUS, a high-density carbon rubber, increases traction and outsole durability. Diagonal Rollbar™, a dual density midsole with a harder wedge-shaped EVA component, on the medial side designed to stabilize the foot and minimize excessive pronation.
DRB Accel™, a high-density compound, is engineered into the midfoot for added support and torsional rigidity for a smooth transition from heel to toe. Molded TPU device designed to cradle the heel and provide medial and lateral stability in order to keep the foot centered at impact.
Engineered MC-Pod Configuration sets the foot up in an efficient, balanced position from heel strike to toe-off, offering maximum motion control and flexibility. Anatomically correct polyurethane sockliner adds cushioning and durability while Implus Cellular Cushioning System in the heels adds outstanding shock absorption properties.

My wife has heel spurs and these are the only shoes that allow her to work and come home without a limp and aching feet. She added an insert for even more cushion, she really loves these shoes, she has 4 pairs.

I've never put on a new shoe and felt immediate comfort but I did with this shoe. I am ready start my walking program. The toe box is just right so my toes are not squished. I have good support in the arch which is usually a problem for me. I really like the way the tongue fits around the top of my foot and it's not too long like some that look stupid sticking out of the shoe top; this one does not do that. The Brooks name is almost invisible on the shoe and there is no logo except a small one on the tongue top. I appreciate their modesty in not having to be so visible like other manufacturers and ruin the shoe's looks.

As a letter carrier, I stand and walk ALL day. These shoes are by far the most comfortable I've had so far!!! Only regret not finding them sooner!

I bought this shoe because the Brooks Addiction did not work out for me. The arch in the Addiction was too high and hurt my foot. The Synergy 2 is better in that regard, arch not as high. I still like the original Synergy better, and it was more comfortable. Fit MY foot better because of the flat feet. I had worn out 6 pair of the Synergy before they discontinued it. Wish the Synergy 2 fit the same way.
