Great Shoe, their Narrow width is really narrow too.

I tried this Brooks Walker, in 11 Narrow, to serve as a poor man's golf shoe as it has good traction and does not seem to slip on wet grass. I typically wear an 11A (used to be AA) and there are few shoes available for men who have narrow feet. If you wear a B to C or a C width do not get this in Narrow, it feels like an A width. Most mens shoes marked Narrow are usually a B or even C width. Shoes like Rock Ports should always be tried on in advance if possible as they are made by manufacturers all over the world and a shoe size in one country may be very different in another country. Some Rock Ports marked Narrow are actually a C or D width. SAS shoes in a "Slim" will fit about like an A width and are very consistant. Dress shoes like Allen Edmonds are also very consistant in their widths but are very, very expensive. Thus, if you have a narrow foot it's called "good luck."These Brooks Walking Shoes required no break-in for me, they are stable, provide some arch and ankle support, comfortable, look good, do not slip on my heel, are roomy in the toe area, and work as a golf shoe too. I will purchase another pair for casual wear and use these for golfing and work--standing on a hard tile floor for 8 hours. This is the best fit from an inexpensive shoe I have had in years. Their Narrow is really narrow. Their size 11 fits like my dress shoes in 11--leaves me about 1/2 to 5/8" of toe room. If you do a lot of downhill walking you might try 1/2 size longer.

Received it quickly, wasn't sure if I liked the white. Felt a bit wider on my narrow foot, but with thicker socks and /or an additional insole, feels great. Hope to really walk them off my feet this coming holiday.

Aug, 2009. Bought these in June. These shoes make you want to walk! You can feel the arch support. Can wear them all day long without discomfort. I purchased some NewBalance walkers about the same. They are good, but they are not like these Brooks. Great shoes! Thanks to others who wrote in saying how good they were - this is what persuaded me to try them.
Wears this shoe: Almost every day, esp. if I have much walking to do.
