Fits well and feels good but the sole is rubber which I was not expecting. That's why I gave it 4 stars. I would like a leather sole like the other pair of Bostonian I own.

I had two pair of Hanover Wingtips I purchased back in the mid ninties. I had them resoled and reheeled several times and they were finally falling apart(I loved those shoes). I had been looking in different stores trying to find a similar replacement, for the last several years, with no luck. I purchased the Bostonian Whatley. To my surprise I think I have the same GREAT shoe. So I purchased a second pair.

I'm a judge and I wear suits daily. I needed a comfortable dress shoe with a bright shine; a rounded (not square) toe; well-defined sole and heel; and preferably less than $300.00. I have a high instep and almost all new shoes blister my heels. The Whately fit great. I wore the shoes without any discomfort for over 12 hours the first day. I immediately ordered a second pair (different color). This is the best value I've ever found in a shoe.
