I liked the design and color of the shoe. I had another pair similar to these before for casual wear. The last pair lasted about 5 years of heavy use.

Born makes excellent shoes. The Seneca is a slip on that provides good foot protection for everyday wear and outdoor rough terrain walking. I wore out two pairs of the model previous to this over ten years including a dozen trips overseas requiring removing them for airport security, Buddhist temples, etc.I do wish that they were made of oil tanned leather which shows fewer scratches.
