Well, I bought a full size larger due to the height and it was still a 1/2 size too small - I had to have the toe stretched. But, that was a small price to pay for a such a cute shoe! The platform is about an 1.5, maybe 2" at the ball. They're not too difficult to walk in, but they are a bit tippy if you're not an expert heel walker. I wouldn't recommend them for beginners!
