Good news: Shoe fits well, even with high instep.Bad News: the slipper bottom insert is a foam pad with fake fur: The one sent was bent and folded by the toe, and hard to straighten out. Insert comes out every time I take the slipper off. Supposedly you can buy a new one when this one gets old. I would hope the new slipper had better quality control.

These were a splurge, but I am just loving these incredibly comfortable, supportive, well-made (hand-made), warm, non-toxic (just wool, thread and natural rubber) slippers. If any or all of the above are important to you, I'd highly recommend them. These slippers are truly exceptional. Even with the higher cost, the fact that I'm happy wearing them and that I will likely have them for many years, makes the cost much less significant over the long term.

These slippers are pretty cute and definitely warm. But they have no real sole so your foot slips to the side of the slipper. And you can walk if it is moist outside as they get wet too quick whereas with somewhat of a sole, this could have been prevented
