Product Description (Blundstone 510)
This is the classic Blundstone: lean, clean and straightforward. Shaped like the human foot for ultimate comfort from the very first step.
How did Blundstone make them so light? Easy. They left off the bells and whistles. The best-selling boot is simplicity itself and goes with everything - jeans, skirts, pants and shorts.
Weatherproof leather upper is fused seamlessly into a polyurethane sole. The patented Shock Protection System reduces foot strike shock by 33%.
We've seen a few attempts at knock-offs but nothing steps up like the Original.
Fit:
This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

510 good, but not as good as 550

This is a great shoe, but my standards were set too high by the outstanding 550. I wanted a pair of black Blundstones, and the 510s are the only I could find, as the 550's only come in brown. I like the 510s, but it seems the quality is not as good as the 550s I also have. The 510s do not have a leather lining, seem 'thinner', and there is only single stitching where the 550s have double stitching in the heel area. It could be my imagination, but I think the quality of the leather may be better on the 550s also. In all, I like the 510s and will wear them when I choose black shoes, but they will not be my 'go to" shoes for everyday wear or travel like the 550s are.

This is my second pair of Blundstone shoes.I was so pleased with my first pair that I decided to find a second pair in black. They are without a doubt the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I wore them for a full day at work right out of the box. I work in the resturant industry and a comfortable, non-slip, waterproof shoe is important.
Wears this shoe: I wear the shoe to work in a fast-casual resturant.

I bought this shoe for horseback riding. But first, I wore them when it rained for 4 days straight. They rubbed a little on my lower calf because I wasn't wearing tall socks, but after a few outings, it was broken in and perfectly fine even with ankle socks. They were great for how wet the ground was for those days. And I love the way my feet feel in them when I ride, too. Great shoe!

I previously owned a pair of the Blundstone 500's and they seemed a somewhat better quality shoe - thicker, softer leather and just a bit more substantial overall. I notice that my new 510's are manufactured in Thailand rather than Australia (which is where my previous pair were made) and perhaps that accounts for the change in quality. My new boots are still very comfortable and if they hold up as well as my old Blunnies, I'll be pleased!

I was looking for a boot that was waterproof for those wet winter days but stylish enough to wear to dinner without stomping around in winter boots. These Blunnies fit the bill perfectly!
