High heel are shoes which raise the heel of a shoe or boot between 2" to 4" higher than the toes. High heel shoes are generally limited to women's footwear and come in a variety of styles and designs. The heels on high heels shoes are also found in many different shapes, including stiletto, block, tapered, blade, and wedge.
Pumps are heeled shoes that are typically tapered to a point or a narrow square toe. The upper of a pump covers the heel and sides of the foot, leaving the top of the foot exposed, which allows the wearer to slip on the shoe.

Jessica Simpson Evette Taller than description

This shoe is beautiful, but it was not what I was expecting in heel height. The description says 4 1/2" inch heel, but I measured and it's a full 5 1/2". It does have a 1 1/2" platform. I wish I could keep my pair because I think they are gorgeous, but they're too tall for me. I'm returning them.

I first brought a smaller size and had to return the item and have an exchange for a larger size. I truly like the fit, style and comfort.

Nine West Rocha Poor quality

I was very disappointed when I pulled the shoes out of the box. I bought the taupe and they had scuff marks, black marks, visible glue and a jagged edge sticking out of the wood bottom piece. I took about 20 steps in them and the side of my foot started hurting because they are so narrow. In a leather shoe that wouldn't be an issue as you can expect them to stretch, but I don't think these are leather. The interior of the shoe only says made of quality man-made material. It does not mention leather like a real leather shoe would. I expect real leather and shoes free of imperfections.
Life Stride Parigi Love This Shoe!

I love Life Stride shoes in general -- their heels are pretty and stylish but also lightweight and comfy, and they have never caused me blisters. Also, I love the grippy soles. (I have another pair of black pumps that I wear constantly because I know I can count on their performance and comfort during long days on my feet.) The Parigis were purchased for my ordination to the ministry, held in springtime. I knew I'd need a neutral shoe that would be useful for other events, and one that wouldn't pose any surprises for my feet. They fit the bill -- nice cushy inner sole, non-slip outer sole, and looked great on.
