Cutwork is a type of decorative embellishment in which portions of the shoe upper or the surface of a handbag for example, are cut away to create a design pattern. The resulting cut-out shapes can sometimes be reinforced with stitches placed close to the edges to form embroideries.

I have two pair of the Mercy shoes, one in black and another in pewter. Both are nice and dressy for flats and can be used with slacks or dresses.

I purchased a Spring Step shoe last year and was so happy with it I purchased this one that was very similar in both black and white. It is not quite as comfortable as the first pair but still very comfortable to wear all day.
