I've owned a pair of these boots for over 2 years and they are great! They're roomy, so very comfortable and warm. Would highly recommend them.

I love this boot. It is very warm, the wide width is good for me, and it is very comfortable for both snow walking and snow shoeing.

  • Amazing Womens Blondo Alpine Boot January 22, 2013

This is truly a most amazing boot! I was hesitant to purchase them, at first, due to their price, but I couldn't be happier with this purchase. First off, I have a lot of difficulty finding footwear as I must wear a full size orthotic that I can fit into a footbed. This requires my having to remove the inner footbed to allow for the orthotic to work properly. Usually this means that I lose any inner warmth that a shoe has to offer on the inner sole of it and I am left standing on what is typically a hard inner sole with only the orthotic on top of it. Additionally, much footwear does not even have a removable inner sole, which eliminates it as a choice as I cannot wear my orthotic on top of any other inner sole for it to work properly. The Blondo Alpine boot not only has a removable charcoal insert, but underneath this is a remarkable wool lining that allows me to place my orthotic on top of it and still benefit from the warmth of the wool underneath. The side zipper allows for easy internal placement of the orthotic. The boot itself is constructed of waterproof leather, is lined with Canadian shearling and is featherweight light! I live in Vermont where it is frigid at times and my feet - which have always been cold due to poor circulation - now feel toasty warm in these boots! I could not ask for a more superb boot; lightweight, waterproof, extremely warm and comfortable, and which allows for me to wear my orthotic, the Blondo Alpine boot is simply the best!

  • Great Boots! January 03, 2013

It is almost impossible to find comfortable, well-made, affordable snow boots in wide width sizes. I was a bit taken back by the layer of dust and a bird plop on the box, but the boots inside were pristine. These boots are comfortable, very warm, attractive and fit well. I could stand a tad more width for thicker socks but thus far in our frigid Montana weather have not needed thicker socks.

Overall, I really like this boot. It's a little clunkier looking than the photos suggest, but I wasn't buying for style. I've already worn them on two very cold, snowy days for a few hours on each day and I'd rate the warmth a full 5. Good support - my feet and legs weren't aching after a good three hours standing. I've only had the boots for a few weeks and we've had an easy winter to date, so I can't vouch for the waterproofing, which is why I gave the boot a 4 vs. a 5. I'm hopeful, though, that they'll come through as promised and I feel optimistic based on my experience so far.
