I read several other reviews about these skates before I made the purchase. Other customers have said that the shoe is a full size bigger than your normal size. I wear a size 8 women's and I purchased a size 8 skates. When I tried on the skates with regular socks, of course the skates felt a full size bigger. I had so much room in the shoe, but here is the reason why......Ice skates are not meant to be worn with average socks, but with really thick and durable socks or shoe inserts to add-in comfort while skating since the ice can take a beating on your ankles and feet. You will last longer skating on the ice if you are wearing the proper type of socks or shoe inserts. After I tried on the skates with regular socks, I then put on a really thick pair of socks and my foot instantly filled up the room in the skates and it was a PERFECT FIT!Therefore, I recommend that you purchase your normal shoe size so you can have that extra comfort of wearing comfy socks or shoe inserts. I love my skates.....can't wait to hit the ice!
