Initially, I was worried about the cost/benefit but as soon as I wore these the first time I realized they were the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn!I almost lost my right foot in an auto accident 7 years ago and live with foot pain on a daily basis and these shoes help reduce that pain. I highly recommend these to anyone!

I've owned many pairs of New Balance over the years. I loved the last two pairs of 1123's, then New Balance in their brillant wisdom went to the 1540. I've owned these shoes for over a year. My toes touch the top and they are to narrow. After a year of trying to stretch them out I am finally trying to wear them with my orthotics, without much success. Currently out looking for a non-New Balance shoe. From what I've read many folks seemed happy with the 1123's, to bad New Balance couldn't stick with something that worked.
