Excellent shoe for the money. This is the second pair I have owned. My first pair has lasted for over 10 years. It is comfortable as well as practical for my needs. My wife actually bought me my first pair, and I laughed at the shoe, thinking I would never wear it. I was surprised at how comfortable the shoe was, and how practical for washing the cars, or working in the garden, or helping to bath our Great Dane outside. My feet are protected and the shoe is perfect for water related use.

I'm required to wear "closed" toe shoes at work. These Birkis are a great compromise, and I've been wearing them to work for the past year. The only exception is that in fresh snow, they are not the shoe to wear. When its cold, I wear WigWam socks, and that keeps the feet warm.Highly recommend this shoe for those who love causual, but because of office requirements must wear "closed toe" shoes.

Was the exact shoe I was looking for and am completely satisfied. I usually wear a (42)(US - 10) but ordered the 11 in this shoe (US - 9) and it fits perfectly and nicely snug. Highly recommended.
Wears this shoe: Everyday, 5-6 days a week, 14hrs/day.

I bought these because I work in a kitchen on a hard floor all day...I have been experiencing foot and hip pain and am hoping that these shoes will help. I cannot say yet but they are sturdy and I think will be overall better for me than tennis shoes. I took the advice of others and ordered a full size smaller and the fit is good but I have narrow feet and they are very wide. If I were going to wear them someplace other than a kitchen I would have had to return them but don't really care that they are wide...Overall I am happy so far
