The Zurich is a wide-strap sandal with adjustable strap and shock-absorbing EVA sole. The upper is made with thick yet supple leathers without additional dyes to keep the leather breathable, durable and comfortable. Featuring the original Birkenstock footbed that has pronounced arch support, a deep heel cup and a roomy toe box. Covered with a suede liner. The footbed molds and shapes to your foot. The sole is made from EVA, a flexible, durable, lightweight, shock resisting soling material.

Fit: This style tends to run large. For an accurate fit we recommend purchasing a 1/2 size smaller than you typically purchase. For example, if you normally purchase a size 7 1/2, we recommend purchasing a size 7.

I really like how these look, especially with slacks. I can wear them for a while, but eventually this particular style makes my foot feel fatigued. (I think it's the pressure over the mid-foot.) I don't think they would do this to everyone, but it could be a caution if you have thick feet forward of your arch.They look nice in a classy-casual way.

I have had these Birkenstocks for 12-15 years. It has been so long that I cannot narrow it down more than that! The upper being one piece has been especially comfortable. Just like any regular Birkenstock, it takes awhile to break in. I also said it runs big because all Birkenstocks seem to run big on me--this one included.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for a long time. The Zurich is my favorite. I have always thought they were a bit over-rated on comfort in some ways. They are hard not soft. But at the same time comfortable. I am getting older now and I find that Berks are the only shoe that has the arch support to make my Planters Fasciitis not hurt. If you have that problem, you might give them a try.

Great shoe, should be great for colder weather. I have had back surgery and Birkenstock is my shoe of choice.
