Very comfortable. Great for walking. Third pair I've owned but I had forgotten that they run wide and had to reorder a narrow pair. They last a long time and can be resoled if necessary. If you have bunions this can be a great choice.

Birkenstock comfort with fashion black leather. This is not my first pair of Birkenstocks. I have small feet. I followed Shoebuy.com's foot size guidelines, choosing the minimum size recommended. Then I went up 1 EUROPEAN size from a 38 to a 39. Result: perfect fit. When you buy Birkenstock's, also buy the Cork Life sealer. You'll need it to make your Birkenstock cork heels last several years. When I tried on the sandals, I let each foot's comfort determine what strap holes to use. Except for the ankle back straps, both feet felt good with identical strap holes. Each ankle back strap was different by one hole, perhaps due to a childhood accident I had.
Wears this shoe: Spring, summer and fall, but not for long or hurried walks.
