The leather is really soft. These are surprisingly comfortable right off the bat. I have arthritis and find it difficult to wear any shoe for very long. I was really afraid I'd have trouble with there, but I don't. They stay on; I don't have to hold them on with my toes when I'm walking, I guess because of the third strap. They are well worth the price.

I find they are far more comfortable and stable than flip-flops. Because I'm on my feet a lot and I have weak arches they are great for me. A pair of original Birkenstocks also looks classic with almost everything, from jeans to shorts to casual skirts. This triple-strap style has a bit of added adjustability, so it has a more custom fit in addition to looking more feminine. In my experience, the Birko-flor material holds its shape and stays looking newer longer than genuine leather uppers. I highly recommend these shoes for college students!

I have a narrow foot and find that the Women's Narrow fit very well (the unisex narrow is too wide). I love this particular shoe and will order again in a different color.
