| | About Cushioned: |
|---|
| | | Cushioned shoes, or neutral cushioning shoes, are shoes designed for runners with normal to high arches who tend to underpronate. Cushioning shoes generally have a padded midsole with layers of extra cushioning in the heel and forefoot that provide better energy return to the body when compressed while helping absorb heel shock and encouraging a more natural foot motion. |

|---|
| | | Insoles are foot-shaped pieces of material that are inserted in footwear to give extra comfort and support to the foot. Insoles may also function to assist in the proper fitting of shoes. |

Birkenstock Air Cushion Insole BirkoTex
Proof is in the pudding

First, know that I am ordering a second pair. Second, these insoles are not SUPER cushy, but they are certainly adequately cushioned. In addition, they stay in place in the Birkies I am wearing them with; and finally, I fully expect them to enhance the Birkenstocks I have on order (which will have their own built-in arch supports.) I am so far very please with them.
