This shoe was recommended by and orthopedic surgeon to me while recovering from ankle surgery. It provides a very solid support and puts the foot in correct anatomical position. I have had to get used to the feel of this shoe as it has a very deep heel bed and I am used to a shoe with a slight heel. However, after wearing the shoe for a few hours each day I find it now very comfortable.

I wanted to try Birks and thought the soft sole would be a good test. It took a little time but I do slip them on often. I wish they had more color choices.
Wears this shoe: Mostly indoors as it is messy outside.
